The Rijksmuseum website is one of my favorites, because of its large selection of huge and beautifully photographed scans. I can't think of any other museum that puts such superbly detailed images online without "protecting" them via Java applets or the like.
In this painting, the paint on the sibyl's dress has faded substantially. As a result the painting has an unfinished look to it, and the underlying drawing of the lines of the dress is clearly visible.
