deviantART, despite its slightly scary name, is a fun hangout where artists (mostly digital artists) can showcase their work, and rate and critique the work of others. The site claims to have over 15 million images online, so it's Nirvana for those of us addicted to visual imagery. (I find it a bit heavy on the anime, though.)
There's little personal information about foureyes, otherwise known as "bernie", but lots more cool photographs at his homepage at deviantART.
